A couple of months ago I was thinking about Blackpink Rosé's solo. The album and song were a perfect combination of her soft girl aesthetic and edgy persona. However, I've always felt that Rosé would kill a Rock or Pop rock concept. I explored her outfits and sets while incorporating all things Rosé. This is my attempt at re-imagining Rosé's album in her rocker era!

Album Cover
The album cover explores Rosé's elegance and rock style. The album cover is inspired by her recent magazine cover with Dazed Korea. The spread was all YSL. YSL is known for their rock and roll, edgy spirit.
I wanted to highlight that on the album cover. Along with her fun-loving, quirky side.
The -R- album had songs like "On the ground" and "Gone". Two songs that explore success and heartbreak. I wanted this album to represent pop-rock sentiments of recklessness and head banging away the heartbreak while boasting about her success. In true SK8r boi fashion!

2. The Main Outfit
I wanted to add edge to Rosé's signature tulle babydoll dresses and purple colour.
The long tulle layered dress is paired with a bondage tulle tube top. Along with a cropped leather jacket with tulle shoulders. It's all about the TULLE, TULLE TULLE!
I added some embroidered net gloves and a classy beret along with some knee-high lace-up boots.
For the hair, I wanted to keep Rosé's pattern of wispy straight hair from the album. It's simple and ethereal.
The outfit perfectly mixes ethereal and edgy: Rosé.

For the Music video outfits, I wanted to incorporate fun, bright outfits as well as elegant and edgy outfits.
Outfit one takes inspiration from Rosé's love for combat boots and mini skirts in her music videos. The gorgeous corset is Vintage Jean-paul Gaultier and mixes rustic pinks and browns that compliments the brown and pink hues in the checkered mini skirt. The skirt has a side lace-up that compliments the sinching in the corset. It's a fun, laid-back look for her to rock out in.
My favourite aspect of music video outfits is that they are always over the top and extra. I loved the bow detail on this purple dress. It had a puff around the hip that played in perfectly with the original albums babydoll dresses. I added a knee-high heeled boot for some edge to the cutesy dress.
The third outfit takes an page from the Jennie book of "SOLO" outfits. The shorts and tube top does exude Jennie. However, adding delicate items like the tulle around the shorts and puff on the shoulders gives it its Rosé touch. I added the thigh high folded leather boots to add a different texture to the outfit.
The last outfit is a bit more classy and elegant with the constant shimmer and rhinestones in the blazer and top. Tulle is the constant in most of the outfits to retain the delicate feminine touch in all her album photos. The ankle boots are simple yet edgy.

5. Stage Outfits
The first outfit is a simple stage outfit. It carries the shininess of the music videos outfits. It's simple and fun. I added some texture with the really fun moon boots with fur and leather.
The second outfit is my favourite outfit of the series. It's fun, crazy and colourful. The black corset has mini bows to pay ode to the original album outfit. The colourful heart skirt brings a pop of colour to the overall dark colour scheme. An iconic part of the album was the furry long overcoat. I added this puffy jacket in a pastel tone as an ode to the light colour scheme of the Gone music video. The Marc Jacobs Heavn Kiki Boots are the perfect edgy addition to this quirky outfit.

3. This outfit is inspired by Blackpink concert encore stages and their summer songs like Forever Young and Don't Know What To Do.
It's a casual outfit that allows Rosé to stay high energy and run around. It's a denim skirt and checkered bow tube top. It has a rhinestone net dress underneath for some fancy. Added the Kiki Boots for the edge and texture.
4. This outfit is inspired by Rosé's solo performance of Gone on their online concert. This outfit is perfect for her to sit and sing ballad songs without any choreography. It's a pink mini dress with a laced boudoir. I added an oversized black blazer with a rhinestone detailed heart-opening. Additionally some purple Kiki boots and a delicate pink neck bow for some elegance.

6. Music Video Sets

For the music video, as mentioned earlier, I wanted to combine the sentiments for the two songs; Gone and On the Ground. Heartbreak and success. I wanted the music video to outline her journey to success; playing the guitar and writing songs in her bedroom, celebrating her success, hosting concerts and feeling like she's finally made it. These sets and sentiments can double up for heartbreak as well. Whilst she did get hurt, she turned that pain into productivity and proved that she doesn't need that person anymore. She's jamming out on stage and having fun with her friends. Very Avril Lavigne and Taylor Swift.
What kind of album would you expect Rosé to do next?
